Hard coded default time zone

date_default_timezone_set ist hard coded to use UTC.
see https://github.com/spryker/Library/blob/master/src/Spryker/Shared/Library/Application/Environment.php#L33
There is a config option $config[ApplicationConstants::PROJECT_TIMEZONE](https://github.com/spryker/demoshop/blob/master/config/Shared/config_default.php#L35) which suggest to change the Time Zone of the Project but it doesn't do it.

    Hi,

Is there an update? The customer asks for feedback. It is confusing to live in the time zone Europe/Zurich and to see the time stamps in UTC.

    Regards,

    Claudia

You can define per store the timezone see for the demo shop "DE" timezone is 'timezone' => 'Europe/Berlin'https://github.com/spryker/suite-nonsplit/blob/master/config/Shared/stores.php or do you wish to change the timezone for your whole Spryker to also have time in database as Zurich time?

    Hi Jeremy,

our client wants to see the created_at and updated_at times of e.g. cms blocks and pages in zed also in the local timezone.
The issue was originally described here: https://github.com/spryker/support/issues/64 (not from us but this covers our problem).

    Does this answer your question?

    Regards

    Claudia

If you only want to "display" date and time in the local timezone but keep inside the system the date and time as UTC, then yes.
